Safety Briefing: Read Before Diving into the Delirium.
Greetings, brave soul!
Welcome to the literary asylum of Peter Jolt. You've just stumbled into a mind-bending labyrinth of psychological suspense and speculative fiction. Congratulations—or should I say, my condolences?
Here, you'll find short stories that are anything but short on thrills. We're talking 7,000 to 15,000 words of pure, unadulterated mindfuckery. That's right, darling, these aren't your grandma's bedtime stories (unless your grandma's into cerebral torture, in which case, kudos to her).
But wait, there's more! (Isn't there always in the realm of the psychologically unhinged?) Soon, I'll be unleashing serialized novels upon your unsuspecting psyche. It's like a Netflix binge, but for your brain cells.
And because I believe in equal opportunity trauma, many of these tales come in full-cast audio format. That's right, now you can have your sanity shattered through your ears as well as your eyes. Aren't you lucky?
So far, I've infected this corner of the internet with the following literary viruses:
short story — suspense / domestic thriller
Eric will do anything to uncover the truth about his wife Lily, even if it means crossing ethical lines. When experimental mind-reading technology falls into his hands, he sees a chance to finally hear Lily's innermost thoughts. But as Eric eavesdrops on his wife's mind, he uncovers secrets far darker than an affair. Will this technology help save his marriage or destroy it forever?
audio / podcast (also on Spotify / Apple podcasts) — dramatized dialog
A psychiatrist interviewing a unique patient.
A fragment of supernatural / psychological thriller (WIP).
The main character is the biblical Cain - reincarnating and fighting sinners - the job assigned by God.
Chapter one of a psychological thriller I write (WIP).
Alan helps people kill themselves (I know, a heavy topic), and Jade, a cop, investigates Alan while looking for her sister.
A psychological near-future sci-fi novelette.
Kevin is livid at his wife's indifference. But when a long-lost friend introduces him to a dream-altering pill, he senses an opportunity to flee his wretched existence and uncover joy in a realm he controls.
In a world of his own creation, Kevin gets to be with the woman he's always desired. But he soon discovers that things aren't as they seem. As he grapples with the consequences of his actions, he must make a choice that could change his life forever.
short story — romantic comedy
| text version | full-cast audio version (also on major podcast services) | online book stores
Two strangers, a man, and a woman, find themselves unexpectedly trapped in a bathroom together during a lively house party.
Father Returns (chapter from Monstrous Minds)
This is a chapter from one of the novels I work on, Monstrous Minds (working title) about a psychotherapist treating supernatural beings.
Free Mental Mayhem
Right now, I'm practically giving away these mind-bending morsels for free. Yes, FREE! You can feast your eyeballs on my written word-vomit or stuff your earholes with my audiobooks on all major podcast apps. (Apple, Spotify, you name it—I'm like a sexually transmitted disease, I get around.)
But beware, my little masochists! In the future, some of my more… let's say "intense" creations might require you to cough up some cash. Consider it a fee for the therapy you'll inevitably need after reading.
Confess Your Madness: Comment or the Voices Win
Now, don't be shy—I know you're not, you're here, aren't you? Leave comments, sprinkle likes like breadcrumbs in this forest of insanity. Let me know which stories made you question your sanity, your relationships, or your choice in reading material.
Remember, feedback is like a safe word—it lets me know when to push harder or ease up. So don't hold back. I certainly don't.
Multiply the Madness: It Costs Nothing but Sanity
Did my stories make you question your sanity, your relationships, or your choice in literature? Fantastic! Now, be a dear and spread that delicious mental chaos. Share these tales with your friends, family, or that weird neighbor who always stares at you. After all, misery loves company, and therapy is cheaper in groups. Plus, if we all go mad together, they can't lock us all up... right?

Enjoyed your stay in my twisted little corner of the literary universe? Feel like tossing some coins to your mind-fucker? Here are some ways to keep the crazy train rolling:
— Upgrade to a Paid Subscription: Sure, there's nothing extra yet, but think of it as an investment in future therapy bills. You're practically saving money!
— Buy Me a Plot Twist Pretzel: For the price of a pretzel (or two), you can fuel the creation of another mind-bending plot twist. Who knows? Maybe you'll inspire the next character's mental breakdown.
— Buy My Books Online: Take a piece of the madness home with you. My books are like psychological land mines for your bookshelf. Buy one (or all) and watch your houseguests squirm.

Yours in perpetual psychological torment,

P.S. If you start seeing characters from my stories in your everyday life, that's normal. Probably.
